Lisa Karnatz is a writer living in the Midwest who shares her experiences and challenges so many women face- identity, sacrifice, and the search for something that feels like her own. Karnatz is, first and always, a storyteller of real life, the kind of conversation that unfolds in kitchens, in car rides, and in the in-between moments no one thinks to write down. A woman, a mother, and a loyal friend, whose voice grew not from a desire to impress, but from a need to grow and thrive.
Her inspiration for Powerfully Independent Woman began first as fleeting thoughts and then bits and pieces scribbled on paper thrown into a file folder called “The book I am going to write”. That file folder grew between life’s responsibilities, household management and personal growth. Divorce deepened her perspective, teaching her about resilience, guilt, joy, and the complicated beauty of showing up for others while trying not to lose herself. Friendship grounded her, offering both refuge and inspiration, reminding her that shared stories carry a special kind of healing.
